About MALDIID

Our vision & mission

MALDIID is a team with a no-nonsense approach to sustainability. We aim to support better use of our resources and take care of our planet. Through a coordinated program of management and research, and in partnership with industry, government, farmers and clinicians, MALDIID will provide scientific based management services. We focus on providing the best service our customers need from product quality control to bacterial and fungi detection in samples for clinical diagnostics, environmental monitoring and improving farm productivity.

What we do

The MALDIID services originated from research and training done by Dr Sofie De Meyer at several research groups and institutes around the world (Australia, Belgium, South Africa, USA). We are all about reliable microbial identification for traditional diagnostics as well as niche areas including legume root nodule bacteria, rare species in clinical routine diagnostics, soil/plant/animal associated bacteria, fungi and insects. Each of these specific niches have been developed in collaboration with the respective academic experts to allow reliable and scientifically proven results.
